Center Sinan Huan to visit Illinois basketball
The Illini are looking to add some skilled size in their class of 2026 and will have the chance to land one that fits exactly what they’re looking for.
Illinois basketball is expected to host a number of players for both official and unofficial visits. One of those official visits includes 7 7-foot center out of Georgetown Preparatory School, Sinan Huan. Per 247sports, Huan is a top-100 prospect and a top-10 center in the class of 2026. He would make quite the impact for Illinois as they certainly need big man depth moving forward. So far, their class of 2026 includes combo guard Ethan Brown and three-star stretch forward Landon Davis. With one of the Ivisic brothers likely to make the jump to the professional ranks after this season, Huan would be a huge addition.
He is a lefty big man with plenty of skill at the center position. However, Huan needs to become stronger and rebound the ball at a far better rate if he wants to contribute at the Big Ten level. As with all thinner big men, Adam Fletcher will be a main selling point as he chooses his college destination
Illinois is set to host a 7-foot international prospect for an official visit this weekend.
Another Big Ten visit is also lined up.

Huan’s recruitment
Sinan Huan is an international big man standing at 7 feet tall. So it is without surprise that the main school that is recruiting him outside of Illinois is the Purdue Boilermakers. The Boilers seem to be involved with every skilled 7-footer and have quite the sell. The Illini are certainly going to have to knock the visit out of the park if they want to sway Sinan Huan away from the Boilers. However, the big man sell is definitely there for the Illini. They have developed big men such as Tomislav Ivisic and Kofi Cockburn into All-Big Ten players. They always have elite guard play and can sell competing at the top of the Big Ten conference.
The Illini are also hosting top-25 prospect Cameron Holmes for an official visit this week. Safe to say, this is a huge recruiting weekend for Illinois basketball.
