Illinois football news: Florida WR Leslie Mosely Jr. signs with the Illini
Another late addition their class of 2026. Illinois football lands a versatile wide receiver with a history of winning.
News: Illinois football has signed wide receiver Leslie Mosely, a speedy receiver in the class of 2026. Mosley chose the Illini over several offers, including Southern Illinois, Wofford, Liberty, and Rhode Island. In his senior season, Mosley had 52 receptions for 1001 yards and eight touchdowns en route to a Florida state championship. Leslie also has the ability to field kicks, as he returned 12 kickoffs for 278 yards (per Jeremy Werner of Illini Inquirer).
Mosley is one of a few late additions to the class of 2026 this week. Illinois football also added safety Caden Considine and Mt. Zion wide receiver Jacob Harvey. They seem to have an ability to find gems with these late additions. For example, Matthew Bailey, Mac Resetich, and Tanner Heckel were all late signings who have all found their way to the field rather quickly in their Illini careers.
The Illini have added quite a bit to their wide receiver corps in this class. In addition to Mosely, Illinois has signed Nasir Rankin, Kenyon Alston, Davon Grant, and Jacob Harvey.
