Illinois Football set to receive visit from five-star wide receiver
Can the Illini reel in a big fish in the class of 2028?
Illinois football is set to receive a visit from Lorenzo McMullen Jr, a five-star wide receiver in the class of 2028. McMullen Jr. is a 6-foot-1 wide receiver out of Taft High School in Cincinnati, Ohio, who holds offers from Indiana, Kentucky, Cincinnati, and more. Per his tweet, Lorenzo will make his way to campus on the weekend of September 13th, during which Illinois will host the Western Michigan Broncos. As Illinois football continues to build on its recent successes, more recruits of McMullen’s stature will be sure to visit campus. McMullen Jr. is only a freshman in high school; however, Bret Bielema and his staff have done an outstanding job of laying down their foundations early.
They tend to get to know recruits for long periods of time. Ultimately, this helps them sell relationships and loyalty once their recruitments come to an end. McMullen Jr’s recruitment is certainly going to be a major recruitment. Illinois football and its staff are doing an incredible job by getting him on campus early.
I Will be at the university of Illinois on 9/13! Thanks for the invite! @TerryHawthorne1 #famILLy @CoachTy_1 @TaftNationFB @SWiltfong_ @TomLoy247 @AllenTrieu @adamgorney @coachjstepp pic.twitter.com/WXyNw5pYpW
