Terrence Shannon Jr shines with perfect game vs OKC Thunder
The former Illini had his best game of his sophomore season.
Terrence Shannon Jr. had his best game of the 2025-2026 season. In a Wednesday night thriller between the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder, Shannon Jr made all seven of his field goal attempts on his way to an 18-point performance. It was a nice night for Shannon Jr who scored these 18 points in just 17 minutes of action. Unfortunately, the Timberwolves suffered a loss 113-105. However, it is nice to see Terrence Shannon Jr. shine in his time on the court, given that this was just his second game coming back from a foot injury.
The former Illini is still battling his way into the Timberwolves rotation. Anthony Edwards, Donte DiVincenzo, Jaden McDaniels, and Mike Conley are all playing significant minutes, which prevents Terrence Shannon Jr. from becoming a regular in the rotation. However, performances like this show that Terrence can be a factor for the Timberwolves on both ends of the floor. The 18 point performance vs the Thunder was highlighted by one of Terrence’s vintage highlight dunks over forward Chet Holmgren.
