Top-50 Shooting Guard Adam Oumiddoch Schedules Visit with Illinois Basketball
Illinois Basketball will have another big preseason visitor on Campus .
It appears Illinois Basketball will have yet another big preseason visitor on campus in mid-October.
According to High School and College Basketball recruiting analyst Sam Kayser, 4-star shooting guard Adam Oumiddoch will take a visit to Champaign from October 17th to the 19th. The Arlington, Virginia, native is a top-50 prospect (No. 45) in the class of 2026 and the #4 shooting guard in the country, who currently competes among some of the nation’s best with the Overtime Elite.
Per Adam Finkelstein, director of recruiting for CBS Sports, Oumiddoch averaged 17 points per game over the summer, shooting 49% from the field, 38% from 3-point range, and 86% from the free-throw line. His impressive play has earned him a slew of offers, with official visits to LSU, Villanova, and Oregon—and upcoming stops at St. John’s and, of course, Champaign already planned. Notably, he and a few of his OTE teammates also recently partnered with Adidas.
At 6’6 and 180 pounds, the talented scorer is certainly going to need some offseason developmental work with coach Adam Fletcher to get him physically ready to compete in the Big Ten. However, Oumiddoch possesses the go-to scoring ability, creative ball-handling skills, and ability to finish at the rim to make him a prime target for Illinois Basketball, pending that he adds some weight through strength training.
Can Brad Underwood’s crew close the deal?
