Illinois Football Sells-Out of 2026 Public Season Tickets
Memorial Stadium should see some more great atmosphere’s in 2026, after selling out public season tickets for the second consecutive season.
As Illinois Football head coach Bret Bielema and a few of his leaders settle into Chicago for Big Ten Media Days on Tuesday, the program received some great news prior to kickoff of the 2026 season.
According to the Illinois Athletic Department, public season tickets for the 2026 football season have officially sold out. The sellout marks the second consecutive year that the program has reached this milestone, which is a major shift for a program that had not done so in more than two decades prior to last season’s announcement.
After years of poor attendance and fan engagement, it seems the Illini Athletic Department has started to really create a different level of momentum around Memorial Stadium. Luckily for them, the excitement of their recent success on the field has been matched by increased investment and support surrounding the program, including a new record-breaking video board and growing ticket demand heading into the fall.
All said, for a program that spent years working to rebuild that connection with its fan base, these consecutive sellouts are a reminder of just how far the Illinois Football program has progressed under the leadership of coach Bret Bielema and AD Josh Whitman.
