Illinois Football Sells Out on Student Season Tickets
Illinois Football sells around 8,500 student tickets
News: Memorial Stadium’s north end zone is going to be alive and rocking this fall. According to the Illinois athletic department, as well as coach Bret Bielema, Illinois Football has officially sold out on student season tickets, just 10 days ahead of kickoff versus Western Illinois (8/29 at 6 pm).
Per the Illini head coach, around 8,500 student tickets were claimed, reaching full capacity for the Block I end zone, as well as sections 101 and 102 in the stadium’s eastern stands. To boot, this news follows the athletic department’s May announcement that regular-season tickets were sold out as well, with more than 43,000 season tickets claimed for the Illini’s heavily anticipated 2025 season.
It’s safe to say, Memorial Stadium is going to be electric this fall. The question is: How many sellouts will Illini fans claim, aside from thier October 11th matchup with defending national champion Ohio State?

Bielema on 8,500 Student Tickets Sold – Sellout
During his open media availability on Monday (8/18) afternoon, coach Bielema discussed this major milestone, which more than doubled student ticket sales compared to when he was hired back in 2021. All praise from Bielema, of course, going to the students.
Bielema on student ticket sellout: “I want to say thank you to the students,” said Bielema. “I think we we’re about 3,800 (student season tickets) my first year (2021), and today we sold out at 8,500…. So, we’ve more than doubled it – obviously, a couple of weeks out from our first game. So, thank you to the students, thanks for everybody.”
