Why Illinois?
“Illinois felt like the right place for me because of the relationships I built with the coaching staff and the belief they had in me from the start. Being able to stay home, represent my home state, and play for the school I grew up watching means a lot to me.”
Mason Halliman currently plays his high school ball at Lincoln-Way East High School in Frankfort, Illinois. Notably, incoming freshman EDGE Jacob Alexander also played at Lincoln-Way East and was teammates with Halliman. Alexander’s signing was also a statement for the Illini on the in-state recruiting trail. Halliman is excited to team back up with his former teammate and represent the state of Illinois
” I’m excited to team back up with some of my former high school teammates and work to become a dominant force for Illinois football.”
Mason Halliman’s message to Illini Nation
