Former Illini WR Hank Beatty signs UDFA deal with Tennessee Titans
Beatty had an exceptional four year career at Illinois.
Former Illini wide receiver Hank Beatty is signing an undrafted free agent deal with the Tennessee Titans. Beatty played four seasons at Illinois and established himself as a reliable slot receiver and one of the best return men in college football. The Rochester, Illinois, native broke the Illinois record for single-game punt return yards vs Western Illinois with 133 yards. As a receiver, Beatty caught 70 passes for a total of 864 yards and 3 touchdowns. Beatty is versatile and reliable in all facets of the game.
Despite going undrafted, Beatty has the skills to stick with an NFL roster, particularly if he continues his strong play on special teams. Former Illini star Isaiah Williams bounced around from team to team before ultimately finding a role with the New York Jets. Williams was named Team MVP for the Jets in the 2025 season after becoming the full-time returner and making some plays as a slot receiver.
Hank Beatty has a similar skillset. If he can get a shot as a return man in the NFL, look for Beatty to make full use of that opportunity.
