Illinois Football to host four-star QB commit Kamden Lopati for Official visit
The Illini will host its first commit in the class of 2027 for a major official visit in April.
Per Multiple sources on X, Illinois football will host QB Kamden Lopati for an official visit from April 10th to April 12th. Lopati committed to Illinois football back in July of 2025. He was the first prospect to commit to the Class of 2027.
Lopati is earning some major interest from some of the best schools in the nation. Most recently, Lopati has earned offers from Florida, Michigan, and Notre Dame. As it stands right now, Lopati is the 122nd overall prospect in the class of 2027 per the 247sports composite rankings.
The sell for Kam Lopati is certainly there at Illinois. For the 2027 season, Illinois football will be searching for a new quarterback as graduate transfer Katin Houser will only be available for the 2026 season. The Illini have signed some intriguing young talent, including St. Louis QB Carson Boyd and Florida QB Michael Clayton II. However, Lopati seems to be the most highly touted of the bunch. If the Illini can keep Lopati true to his commitment, it all starts with this official visit.
