BREAKING: Illinois Basketball Lands PG Kylan Boswell
Illinois Basketball has had a sneaky good offseason so far. Despite rumors about assistant coaching moves and possible attrition from that, Illinois has landed three transfer portal commitments already. Jake Davis and Tre White are all solid adds, however, Illinois has added a big fish. Former 5-star prospect, Kylan Boswell, announced that he will be returning home to Champaign, Illinois. Boswell was heavily recruited by Illinois during his prep recruitment, however, chose the Arizona Wildcats instead. He played two years in Tucson, however, decided to enter the transfer portal.
Boswell is an immediate impact lead-guard who immediately elevates Illinois Basketball back into the top half of the Big Ten.

Illinois has a lead point guard again
Boswell averaged 9.6 points, 3.6 assists, and 1.4 steals on 37.9% three-point percentage as a sophomore at Arizona. He started 35 of 36 games for the Wildcats and will have 2 years of eligibility at his next destination. Given the Illinois basketball’s need for a lead point guard, Boswell will be an immediate impact. He plays both sides of the floor and has high major experience being a floor general. Kylan Boswell is only 18 years old. He decided to reclassify during his prep recruitment and is still extremely young.
For context, Sencire Harris has played one less year of college basketball than Kylan Boswell and is still at least two years older than him.
