Former Illini Marcus Domask signs with Fraport Skyliners in Germany
The former Illini star will be starting a new chapter.

Former Illini Marcus Domask has signed with the Fraport Skyliners, a German club part of the Easycredit BB League. After playing one year in Champaign in which he averaged 15.9 points per game, Domask found his way to the Windy City Bulls, the G-league affiliate of the Chicago Bulls. Marcus Domask found a role on the team and actually started playing starter’s minutes. Through 16 games in the G-league, Domask averaged 32.8 minutes per game and averaged 9.0 points per game, 3.4 rebounds and 3.9 assists. He did so while shooting an efficient 38.1 percent from the three-point line.
The league in Germany does not have too many recognizable names, outside of former Purdue Boilermaker, Trevion Williams. Hopefully, Domask will have a more feature role and be able to show a more versatile offensive skillset.
Domask the king of booty ball
Marcus Domask left a legacy while in Champaign. He successfully kept the Illini afloat amidst Terrence Shannon Jr’s suspension and completely shifted the way that the Illini played offense. Brad Underwood even recently shared that he was not even sold on Marcus when Marcus initially entered the transfer portal from Southern Illinois. Fast forward a year, and fans will never forget “Booty Ball” for how reliable and consistent it was, especially when they are now left watching a team that shoots way too many threes this year. With Domask leaving the NBA G-league, Justin Harmon and Quincy Guerrier are the only former Illini grinding there. Good luck to Marcus as he starts this new chapter overseas!
