Former Illinois Basketball Guard Sinks Career High 3’s
It is days like this that make me miss Ayo Dosunmu. Illinois Basketball is currently in an interesting position. Though they are continuing solid Big Ten records for the past few years, there continues to be a sense of unease amongst the fanbase. After a disappointing crumble against Michigan State, a near crumble against Nebraska, and a slew of close losses on the road, Illinois fans are starting to settle in with the fact that this team has a limited ceiling. The Illini are an athletic and skilled group. However, they lack that closer. They lack that guy that you can give the ball to on the road and say “Get us right”.
Illinois Basketball misses an Alpha dog.
Ayo Dosunmu; Champaign Legend
Ayo Dosunmu continues to improve. Though he had a tough Sophomore year, Dosunmu has made impressive changes to his body and game. As a result, he had a historic month in January and has continued that play into February. Dosunmu continues to earn starting minutes for the struggling Bulls. Recently, he drained 5 threes, a career-high, against the Orlando Magic. Additionally, Ayo has been a rock for the Bulls and has continued his consistent play. Just check out this impressive dunk in crunch time!
