Zvonimir Ivisic shows major star potential in win over Minnesota
Zvonimir has so many tools at 7 foot 2 inches.
Zvonimir Ivisic was must-watch TV from the moment he stepped on the University of Kentucky campus. Despite being as thin as a straw, the 7-foot-2-inch Ivisic had handles, hops, and a shooting stroke to go along with ridiculous shot-blocking instincts. Throughout his first two years of college basketball, Zvonimir has always been a highlight, but has struggled to find consistent minutes or a consistent role despite being able to do so much. Physicality, motor, and consistency wereroad blocks to Ivisic unlocking his full potential
However, at Illinois, Zvonimir has started to show more consistency and has found a role as a defensive anchor off the bench for a very good Illinois team. In fact, in the game vs Minnesota, Zvonimir Ivisic flashed star potential that has me wondering what he would be with one more off-season with Adam Fletcher
Zvonimir has gained 30 pounds since arriving in Illinois
Zvonimir shared in a press conference today that he has gained 30 pounds since starting his work with strength coach Adam Fletcher. Even with that, Zvonimir still has some minor issues with physicality, including getting knocked over on rebounds. However, today’s 18 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks in just 18 minutes should give fans plenty of reason to salivate.
He continues to impact the game defensively and with his ability to knock down perimeter shots. As time goes on, Zvonimir Ivisic will slowly blossom into a star in college basketball.
