Illini Basketball announces the date of their marquee matchup vs Duke
Illinois basketball has made an exciting official announcement on Wednesday (8/14). According to their social media pages, Illinois Basketball is set to face the Duke Blue Devils in New York City, at Madison Square Garden. The game will take place officially, on February 22nd for a nationally televised game on Fox. A tip-off time is still to be determined.

Illini Regular Season Throwdowns in 2024-45
Illinois basketball last met Duke in 2020. In that matchup, the Illini traveled to Cameron Indoor Arena and completely outclassed the young Blue Devils squad. Ayo Dosunmu led the way to a dominant 83-68 victory. Duke basketball will have a lot of intrigue coming into the 2024 season. The number one overall prospect and likely number one overall NBA draft pick, Cooper Flagg, awaits the Fighting Illini. As the game is towards the end of the season, I fully expect both teams to have settled into their rotations and be fully ready for a marquee matchup
