Four Illini Football Players make Senior Bowl Watch list

Four Illini Football players made the watch list for the 2025 Reese’s Senior bowl watch list. Captains Seth Coleman and Pat Bryant both made the list which is no surprise given their productive careers thus far. Rising star and junior, Gabe Jacas, is primed for a big season and also made the watch list. Finally, graduate transfer, JC Davis, made the list. Davis just transferred into the Illini football program from New Mexico.

Davis has been one of the more underrated additions from the transfer portal as many are hyping him as a potential NFL draft pick.

If we think about it, all four players need to have exceptional years if the Illini want to have any success. Pat Bryant and Zakhari Franklin are the only two proven wide receivers on an offense that is looking to show more balance. Seth Coleman and Gabe Jacas lead a rather thin defensive line that needs to get pressure on the quarterback. The Illini have some uncertainty in the secondary. Outside of Terrance Brooks and Tyler Strain, the Illini have a stable of talented, but extremely young DB’s.

Coleman and Jacas need to get to the quarterback often to take a load off of a young Illini DB room that also is recovering from various injuries.
