Illinois Basketball: 2024 Big Ten Tournament Champions
The Illinois Basketball Experience! After a string of 3 games with large deficits in the early second half, Illinois Basketball has shown that they will not go down without a fight. As a result, Illinois Basketball is your 2024 Big Ten Tournament Champs! The Illini took down the Wisconsin Badgers, 93-87. The Illini went down a 12-point deficit to start the second half. However, they stormed back to level the game and Wisconsin kept punching. Chucky Hepburn, AJ Storr, and Max Klesmit continued to keep their claws on the game. However, Illinois had the star power. Each of the Illini’s stars made big-time plays down the stretch and helped Illinois win the trophy. Terrence Shannon Jr led the way with an incredible 34 points.

Look, Big Ten Tournaments are cool. However, Illinois basketball fans have had their sites on one goal all year. That is a deep run in March. The past three Big Ten tournament Champions have suffered early March Madness exits, including the 2020-21 Illinois Basketball team. The timing of the Big Ten tournament is rather awful, however, Illinois will likely land a 3 seed. Whenever they play, they must be ready to receive the punches of a well-rested mid-major squad.
Regardless, Illinois Basketball has had a successful season. Let’s hope that this is the trampoline for more wins and more memories. I-L-L!
