Illinois Basketball: 2025 Four-star Combo Guard plans Official Visit
The Illini are one of the top-options for this four-star combo guard.
Per League Ready and 24/7 High School Hoops on Twitter, four-star combo guard, Brandon Lee will visit Illinois basketball during the weekend of September 21st to 23rd. Lee is a 6 foot 2 inch guard out of Hillside, New Jersey who currently plays at the Patrick School. Of note, that is the same high school that former Illini, Giorgi Bezhanishvili went to. Given these Bronx ties, it is no surprise that Orlando Antigua is the lead recruiter for Brandon Lee. The Illini currently are the first official visit for Brandon Lee.
After Illinois basketball lost the commitment of Jeremiah Fears, they have continued to search for perimeter players in their class of 2025. Lee is an intriguing prospect who can make plays off the bounce and also play off the ball.

Lee had a stock rising summer on the EYBL for @NYRhoops. Can shoot it from deep, make plays off the bounce and is a good positional rebounder.

Bucket getter.
Brandon Lee is a bucket-getter. Over the summer, he played on the EYBL circuit with NY Renaissance. The rising senior averaged 22.8 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. Per the film, he is extremely crafting at getting downhill to the basket and also shows a solid shooting stroke. Earlier in the summer, Illinois basketball threw their hat in the ring for a variety of five-star combo guards. Jasper Johnson and Cayden Boozer were names that initially popped up after Fears recommitted.
However, Lee is a strong piece that plays both sides of the ball and could serve as a nice compliment to some of the positional size that the Illini have.
