Illinois Basketball Center Tomislav Ivisic to Debut vs Ole Miss

Illinois basketball will be playing for the public eye for the first time on October 27th. The Illini will take on the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford, Mississippi for a charity exhibition. Recently this month, Illinois basketball held a closed-door scrimmage vs the Butler. Illinois supposedly won that encounter, however, they were notably without their prized big man, Tomislav Ivisic. Ivisic has still yet to be cleared by the NCAA.

Ivisic will play in Sunday’s exhibition, however, still has not received clearance to participate in the Illini’s season opener on November 5th vs Eastern Illinois. 

Full roster?

This means that Illinois basketball will likely debut its full roster this Sunday. This is an exciting opportunity for the fans to see how this team full of talent gels together. Additionally, it helps give Ivisic an opportunity to experience the speed of the college game and to gain chemistry with his teammates. Hopefully, the NCAA will give Ivisic the clearance in a timely manner as it is unclear what is holding up this process.

Of note, Ivisic’s older brother, Zvonimir, also had some eligibility issues with the NCAA. Though this is supposedly a different case, Zvonimir did not make his debut until January.
