Illinois Basketball Reaches out to AAC Sixth Man of the Year
The Illinois Basketball staff has made contact with South Florida transfer guard Selton Miguel. The 6’4 native of Angola formerly spent 2 seasons at Kansas State, before making a transfer to USF. The young man recently entered his name into the portal once again after a largely improved performance in 2024. According to Portal Updates on X, the market for Shelton is hot. With quite a few Big Ten rivals in the conversation for the mid-major sharpshooter.

Breakdown
Illinois Basketball is on the conversation list for Selton, amongst a plethora of other major programs. The quick guard was able to hold an 14.7 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists average per game for the Bulls in 2024. Shooting 41.1% from the floor, and 39% from deep. Of course, doing his part to lead USF to an AAC conference title, as well as an NCAA tournament appearance. The South Florida sharp shooter was names the 2024 AAC 6th Man of The Year, as well as the conferences most improved player. Certainly a major step forward in the career for the young man from Angola, who has built a major market for himself.
