Illinois Basketball Student Season Tickets Sellout in 26 minutes

Illinois basketball announced that their student season tickets would go on sale today. After a quick twenty-six minutes, all of those tickets have officially sold out. That is pretty impressive, even for a fanbase as rabid as the Illini’s. The Orange Krush is well known as one of the most enthusiastic and passionate fanbases in all of the country. After a brief lull, head coach Brad Underwood and his crew have rewarded the hungry and loyal fanbase. In the past five years, Brad Underwood has been one of the winningest coaches within the Big Ten Conference.

He has helped the Illini win two of the last four Big Ten Conference tournaments. Last year, Underwood got the monkey off of his back and brought the Illini to an elite eight. After all of that, he now owns a roster that is arguably his most talented.

Some exciting games throughout the season

Illinois basketball will open its schedule on November 4th. They host the Eastern Illinois Panthers in the State Farm Center. However, their first marquee matchup will be Saturday December 14th. On that day, the Illini will host the Tennessee Volunteers, who are one of the favorites in the SEC and will likely be a top-ranked squad. With student season tickets sold out, look for that Saturday to be an electric environment.
