7’0 🇷🇸 Aleksa Dimitrijević will officially visit Michigan, Creighton and Illinois
put together a very impressive performance at U18s this summer
Dimitrijevic has showcased his talents on the international stage, playing for Serbia’s U18-19 national team at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket, where he averaged 10.4 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. He is currently developing with KK Partizan, a powerhouse EuroLeauge club, known for producing high-level European talent.
Arman Jovic of PTD Scouting praised Dimitrijevic’s skill set, noting, “(Aleksa) Has Impressive playmaking skills, and post-game. Has the ability to shoot at times, knows how to play his role effectively. Gonna need some more development moving forward but has a nice raw baseline of natural feel and fluidity.”Â
Illinois head coach Brad Underwood and assistant Orlando Antigua have had great success recruiting internationally, and Dimitrijevic could be the next addition to an already promising frontcourt that includes Morez Johnson Jr., Tomislav Ivisic, and Carey Booth.
Can Illinois Basketball secure another international gem with their deep rooted connections to the EugoLeague? Being last on the talented big-men’s lineup gives the Illini staff the opportunity for the final impression.
Hopefully Illinois can find a way to tighten things up from this recent slump, before taking on the Hawkeye in just a short week.
