Former Illini Ayo Dosunmu drawing interest from Los Angeles Lakers
NBA Insider, Anthony Irwin, reported in an article that the Los Angeles Lakers have had preliminary conversations with the Chicago Bulls regarding the availability of Ayo Dosunmu. The Former Illini will be entering his fifth year in the NBA; however, he has been stuck in the rumor mill for the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls seem rather hell-bent on moving either Coby White or Ayo Dosunmu, given their recent offseason moves. Dosunmu has improved each year for the Bulls despite being just a second-round pick. He has risen his way to the starting lineup and has become a key two-way player. Trading Dosunmu, a Chicago native and former Illini basketball star, will certainly turn off a large chunk of a dwindling Bulls fanbase.
The Lakers have show interest in trading for Ayo Dosunmu, per @AnthonyIrwinLA.

Ayo Dosunmu remains underrated
Ayo Dosunmu had season-ending shoulder surgery; however, he was in the midst of a very strong year. He finished the year averaging 12.3 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game on 49.2 percent from the field. He also has a team-friendly contract, which is likely the reason that the Bulls are trying to move him. Per recent reports, Dosunmu has been recovering well from his shoulder injury and should start 5-on-5 work. If the Bulls do move Dosunmu, hopefully, it will be to a winning franchise. It would certainly be nice to see the former Illini playing meaningful basketball on a team with a clear direction.
