Former Illini Pat Bryant signs rookie contract with Denver Broncos
Bryant was the lone 2025 draftee from the Fighting Illini football program
Former Illinois football Wide receiver Pat Bryant has reportedly signed a four-year deal worth approximately $6.581 million. On top of that, the deal will also include a $1.426 million signing bonus. The Broncos selected Bryant with the 74th overall pick in the third round of the 2025 NFL draft. He was the sole Fighting Illini to be selected in this year’s draft
Pat Bryant should have a role on an up-and-coming Broncos team that is hoping to build around second-year quarterback Bo Nix. In fact, head coach Sean Payton compared Pat Bryant to WR Michael Thomas. Bryant has the versatility as a receiver, however, is a very willing blocker. If he can do the little-things during his rookie season, he should see the field.
More rookie signings:
Broncos have signed third-round pick, WR Pat Bryant, to a four-year, $6.581 million deal, per agents Drew Rosenhaus and Shawn O’Dare.
Bengals also have signed fifth-round pick, offensive lineman Jalen Rivers, to a four-year, $4,620,988 deal, per Rosenhaus…

A standout senior season at Illinois
Pat Bryant had 54 catches for 984 yards and 10 touchdowns as a senior at Illinois. He came into his own and became one of the league’s best receivers. Though he may not have the speed that some top-end wide receivers in the NFL have, he has the physical attributes that make him an intriguing option. He also grew as a route runner during his final season at Illinois and became a fan favorite with his outgoing personality. The Broncos got a steal with the number 74 pick in Bryant, that is no doubt.
