Former Illinois Basketball Guard To Return To Big Ten
Former Illinois Basketball Guard, Skyy Clark, will be playing in the Big Ten during the 2024-2025 season. Clark announced that he will be attending UCLA; his third university in three years as a college basketball player. The LA native played half a season in Champaign for Illinois Basketball and left midway through the season due to personal reasons. He then spent last year at Louisville where he was a part of an 8-24 season under Kenny Payne. Clark did show some improvements as he averaged 13.1 points on 41.2% field goal percentage.
UCLA is in the midst of a rebuilding era. Head coach Mick Cronin had his worst year in Westwood and certainly needs to hit the Transfer portal much harder than the prior season. Clark will serve as a veteran guard amongst a very thin roster.

The Pac-12 schools joining the Big Ten
It still feels so odd that schools like UCLA, Oregon, USC, and Washington will now be a part of the Big Ten. Though they are all reputable and fun schools to see, particularly in football, the fit just seems a little bit off. Regardless, Skyy Clark may end up returning to the State Farm Center in some capacity. Clark was a talented, five-star prospect coming out of high school. I am sure he is looking to be involved with winning after an absolutely putrid season at Louisville.
With a team that needs a perimeter-scoring punch, Clark should hopefully be a spark on the UCLA team that is coached by a hard-nosed, old-school guy like Mick Cronin.
