Former Illinois Basketball Star Ayo Dosunmu Drops Career High
The Ayo Dosunmu news continues! The Former Illinois Basketball star has put together two career games. Recently, he put up a career-high total in 3-point makes vs the Orlando Magic. This Monday, Dosunmu put up a career-high in points. The third-year guard put up an impressive 29 points and 7 assists on an impressive 12-18 from the field with 5-8 from the three. Ayo has been hustlin. With Zach Lavine and Alex Caruso sidelined with injuries, Ayo has been thrust into an increased role.
It is safe to say that Dosunmu has embraced that and run with it. Ayo’s point total is impressive, however, he is doing this with remarkable efficiency and aggression.

A Stellar Third-Year Campaign
Zach Lavine and Alex Caruso have struggled with injuries all year. As a result, Ayo Dosunmu put up an impressive month in January. That was the month in which he did something no one in Bulls history had ever accomplished over a month: shooting 50% from the field, 40% from three, and 90% from the line. These numbers are awe-inspiring, especially considering how far Dosnumu has come with his free throw shooting. With the Bulls continuing their current roster, Ayo Dosunmu will likely continue to play these extensive minutes.
As stated many times before, Ayo always proves people wrong. It is what he does throughout his entire career. Before the 2023 season, Many wrote him off after a disappointing sophomore campaign. Despite that, Ayo has come back from that with a vengeance.
