Illinois Basketball Target Will Riley Announces Commitment Date
Per Will Riley’s social media page, he has a commitment date set. Per his Instagram page, Illinois basketball target, Will Riley, will announce his commitment on June 23rd. According to the post, it appears the announcement will be around approximately 2 pm ET and 1 pm CT.
Riley recently released a top-5 on Tuesday (6/11) consisting of Illinois, Alabama, Kentucky, Arizona, and the New Zealand Breakers (NBL). Certainly, it appears coach Brad Underwood and Orlando Antigua may be in a good position to hit a grand slam to round out his roster for 2024-25. The Illini offseason has been eventful with multiple transfer additions, however, Riley’s addition would certainly take the cake.

Breakdown: Will Riley
According to 247 Sports, Will is currently the 15th overall player in the class of 2025. The Canadian averaged 22 points and 5 rebounds per game at the Nike EYBL circuit for UPlay Canada. The lengthy wing shot 50 percent overall from the field and knocked down 32% of his shots from deep. Undoubtedly, he is a highly productive scoring option for Brad Underwood, who can consistently score all three levels. Standing in at 6’8 and 180lbs, Riley possesses advantageous length and athleticism, which assists him in getting to the bucket and forcing havoc for defenders.
