Illinois Football Hosting Talented Receiver with Big Ten Offers
Illinois Football has made a habit out of hosting a large number of priority recruits in the month of June. Bret Bielema and his staff have been keen on starting their summer off strong to create recruiting momentum and to hopefully make a strong first impression on recruits and their families. This weekend, they will host a number of talented priority recruits and some of their current commitments to the class of 2025. One major position of need in the prep ranks is wide receiver. Newly hired coach, Justin Stepp, has already done a good job of landing in-state wideout, Brayden Trimble. Trimble is a central Illinois native who has a number of power-five offers such as Auburn, Iowa, and Iowa State.
Leading into this weekend, Illinois football is hosting another talented receiver with Big Ten Offers, Davion Chandler.

WR Davion Chandler; 6′ 0″ 170 pounds.
Chandler is an Indianapolis native who holds offers from Michigan State, Indiana, Wisconsin, and Purdue. Per 247sports, he will take official visits to Wisconsin and Kansas. That is difficult competition to beat out, however, this current Illinois Football staff has shown that they can win these types of recruitments. The Indianapolis native would be a strong get as Stepp looks to build the Illini receiver room alongside talented players such as Malik Elzy and Collin Dixon.
