Former Illinois basketball point guard, Jayden Epps, came up clutch in a Georgetown Hoya win over the Villanova Wildcats. Epps contributed 20 points to the win and sank a clutch floater down the lane to give the Hoyas the league. Villanova attempted a last second three to win, however, the attempt fell short. Epps is having somewhat of a down year in terms of his scoring average. During his Sophomore year with the Hoyas, he averaged 18.5 points per game. However, this year he is currently averaging 12.8 points per game.

During his one year with Illinois basketball, Epps averaged 9.5 points per game on 41.4 percent field goal percentage.

B*llshit school?

Jayden Epps’ transfer from Illinois certainly came with a little bit of drama. Epps had a fantastic start to his freshman year, and his ability to score looked like a building block for the future. However, he did not particularly mesh well with head coach Brad Underwood’s coaching style and his camp made that pretty evident on social media. Epps was benched during the comeback win at home over the Northwestern Wildcats and reportedly even refused to be subbed back in.

This year, Georgetown coach Ed Cooley jokingly referred to Illinois as that “other bullsh*t school” when referencing Jayden’s last stop. Coach Underwood brushed that moment off but that line by Cooley brought some headlines back between the two parties.
