Former Illini Quincy Guerrier with impressive G-League Debut
The former Illini played well in his first official professional action
Former Illini wing, Quincy Guerrier, earned the start last night in his G-league debut for the Raptors 905. Guerrier ended the game playing 32 minutes and finished with 17 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 assists on 7-10 from the field. It was certainly an impressive debut for the former Illini who can hopefully continue to gain opportunities for the team. Quincy Guerrier has all of the physical attributes of an NBA wing. He is a 6 foot 7 inch, 220 pound forward who is an above-average rebounder for his size. If he can become a consistent three-point shooter and effectively defend the perimeter, he should continue to get more opportunities on the Raptors 905. Quincy is one of three former Illini basketball players in the G-league.

Former Illini, Marcus Domask, and Justin Harmon are currently launching their own G-league campaigns. However, neither Domask nor Harmon got the same amount of playing time as Quincy Guerrier. With Ayo Dosunmu and Terrence Shannon Jr the only two former Illini in the NBA, Illini Nation is certainly hoping that at least one more player can join them. Right now, Guerrier seems like the best hope.
