Former Illinois Football RB “Sick of Average White Guys Commenting On Football”
Former Illinois Football legend, Rashard Mendenhall, went viral on Monday after proposing an “All-white vs All-Black” bowl on Twitter. Mendenhall was obviously upset over some comments made in the sports world and took to X to voice his frustrations. The former Illinois running back stated that he was “sick of average white guys commenting on football”. Earlier in the day, Rashard blasted critics of current Steelers coach, Mike Tomlin. Mendenhall obviously supports Coach Tomlin and voiced his displeasure with the most recent Steelers QB’s. Those most recent quarterbacks being: Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky, Ben Roethlisberger, Devlin Hodges, and Mason Rudolph.
I’m sick of average white guys commenting on football. Y’all not even good at football. Can we please replace the Pro Bowl with an All-Black vs. All-White bowl so these cats can stop trying to teach me who’s good at football. I’m better than ur goat.

Mendenhall voiced his criticism of Ben Roethlisberger in a separate tweet below. Mike Tomlin is currently under fire for a series of Steelers losses and lack of success in recent years.
I don’t understand how you can talk about Tomlin’s playoff record, without acknowledging that Kenny Pickett has only played one year. Who was the QB for all those playoff loses?!! Literally all of them. Make up your minds. How you arbitrarily separate Mike & Ben in de W/L column?

A Former Star RB
Rashard Mendenhall is one of the most famous players in the University of Illinois history. The duo of Mendenhall and Juice Williams created some of the best Illinois Football memories of all time. During his time in Champaign, Rashard tallied 388 carries for 2539 yards and 22 touchdowns, all in 3 years of work. The Skokie, Illinois native then became the 23rd pick in the 2008 NFL draft to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He started his NFL career extremely strong. In 2010, he tallied 324 carries for 1273 yards. The former Illinois Football legend even earned a Super Bowl ring in 2009. However, he failed to repeat in 2010 after fumbling in the key moments vs the Green Bay Packers.
That fumble was brought up by multiple X users in response to Mendenhall’s series of tweets.
