For the first time since 2011, Illinois football has started off their season with three wins. Though that is certainly impressive and something that has excited this fanbase, it still feels that the Illini are unproven. They put their foot in the ground and topped the Kansas Jayhawks in week 2. However, this Friday night showdown on the road seems like the first real opportunity for Illinois to prove itself. This will be their first road test, however, the Illini seem hungry to continue to prove themselves. Friday night in Lincoln seems like the perfect opportunity.

Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-0) (0-0)

Like Illinois football, Nebraska has started off its season with three wins. So far, Matt Rhule has brought a calm competence to the Huskers that was severely lacking in prior years. Rhule seems to have settled in at Nebraska, however, is looking for a Marquee win. A win over a ranked Big Ten opponent at home seems like just that opportunity. Rhule and his Huskers will come out playing hard, and freshman QB Dylan Raiola will look to dominate the steady Illini defense.
