Illinois Basketball Commit Scores 50 in EYBL Debut

Jeremiah Fears will be a star in an Illinois Basketball uniform. The 2025 Illinois Basketball commit put up a monster stat line in his first EYBL game of the season. Fears dropped 50 points, 8 assists, and 7 steals in an impressive debut for the Indy Heat. Jeremiah is a naturally gifted scorer who has the ball on a string. As he progresses through his high school career, he has started to fill out his lengthy frame. As a result, this length in combination with his elite skill has turned Jeremiah Fears into one of the top bucket-getters in the class of 2025.

Going into his final summer as a high school prospect, look for Fears to continue his strong performances.

The Next Champaign Star

When Fears arrives on campus, look for him to be one of the focal points of the Illinois Basketball roster. The prospect of a senior Kylan Boswell paired with a young Fears in the backcourt is exciting to think about. Add that talented backcourt to a nice mix between Carey Booth and Morez Johnson Jr, and Illinois has some next-level talent coming up. Jeremiah Fears will hopefully continue to fill out his frame and be able to utilize his size and length in the half-court.

Additionally, Jeremiah most recently played a game on national television vs Cooper Flagg and Montverde Academy. Montverde has the top-ranked prospect in the country and many other five-star players, however, Fears held his own with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
