Former Illinois Basketball Guard Works out for NBA Champions
Former Illinois Basketball guard, Marcus Domask, completed a workout with the Boston Celtics. The Celtics are the 2024 NBA champions and are considered the favorites to win the 2025 championship as well. Domask has worked out for a number of teams including the Houston Rockets, Charlotte Hornets, Miami Heat, and the Chicago Bulls. While in an Illinois Basketball uniform, Domask averaged 15.9 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.9 assists. Marcus was an absolute revelation during his one year in the Orange and Blue. In fact, the Wisconsin native just won the Illinois Newcomer of the Year award.
Marcus Domask can certainly find his way into some playing time in the summer league given his offensive versatility and ball-handling skills.

June 26th to June 27th: The 2024 NBA Draft.
With the NBA draft coming next week, Illinois Basketball fans will be tuned in to the news to see where a few of their former players join. At this time, Terrence Shannon Jr is the only player expecting to hear his name called. Shannon Jr is currently slated as a late first-round draft pick or an early second-round pick. Though he was one of the best players in college basketball, Shannon Jr’s age does limit his draft stock quite a bit. In other news, Marcus Domask and Quincy Guerrier will certainly find their way onto a summer league roster. Illini Nation will certainly be monitoring all three’s progress in the professional ranks.
