Illinois Basketball: Marcus Domask and Quincy Guerrier Workout for Same NBA Team
Former Illinois basketball players, Marcus Domask and Quincy Guerrier have seemingly received a workout from the Cleveland Cavaliers. Per Domask’s Instagram story, Guerrier and Domask were at the Cavs’ practice facility with Guerrier wearing Cleveland Cavalier shorts. This was a cool moment to see as both former Illini will have similar professional starts. Both players played their final year of college basketball with the Illini after years at different schools.
Domask played four years at Southern Illinois before turning into one of the top players in the conference. On the other hand, Guerrier played two years a piece at Syracuse and Oregon before finally deciding to play for Illinois Basketball.

What’s next for the two?
The 2024 NBA Draft is less than a week away. At this time, Terrence Shannon Jr is the only Illinois basketball player expecting to hear his name called. Shannon Jr has been rising in recent mock drafts since he was found Not guilty of rape and sexual battery. Domask and Guerrier should both have opportunities in the NBA Summer League. Marcus Domask is an exceptional offensive weapon that can be used as a secondary ball-handler. Guerrier has the prototypical NBA body and skillset. If Guerrier can find consistency, he should be able to have opportunities in the G-League or strong Euroleagues.
