Illinois Football Picks Up a 3-Star Defensive Lineman
The Illinois Football staff has landed their third prep player of the summer from the class of 2025. On Monday (6/10), 3-star defensive lineman Isaiah White announced his commitment to coach Terrance Jamison and the Illini. White attends Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis, locking in Illinois’ second commitment of the summer from Hoosier/Boilermaker territory. Of course, secondly to 3-star wide-out Davion Chandler, who announced his intentions to attend Illinois, on Sunday (6/9). Additionally, this is Bret Bielema’s second defensive lineman commitment in the past 24 hours. Cameron Brooks, an in-state pickup from Homewood-Flossmoor, also pledged his commitment to Illinois on Sunday (6/9).
The Illini have added immediate-impact guys like Enyce Sledge, Gentle Hunt, and Dennis Briggs Jr. to fill the voids Illinois possessed post the 2024 NFL Draft. The “Law Firm” has made its way to the league, and now it’s time for a new group of stars to step up. Building quality depth will be key to continuous success in the future. Thus far, the staff is getting the job done in summer 2024.
In addition to Illinois, Isaiah held offers from national runner-up Washington, Boston College, Louisville, Michigan State, Penn State, and More.

Impact
Isaiah plays with and against top-notch talent at Ben Davis in Indy. The Giants recently won their 10th IHSAA state title in November of 2023, with a dominant 38-10 win over Crown Point (IN). Of course, with the assistance of Junior interior defensive lineman Isaiah White. The talented run-stopper stands in at 6’3 and 270 pounds and ranks as the 18th-best player in the state of Indiana according to 247 Sports. In addition, 247 Sports ranks Isaiah in the top 150 defensive linemen in the nation.
Certainly, White gives coach Terrance Jamison great natural size and athletic ability to work with. On film, it is apparent that he possesses grown-man strength. With his impressive size and power, he uses hand placement to press competition off for separation and hunts for the ball. At times, he can be seen taking on and beating double and even triple teams to the ball. With the proper development, White is a high-ceiling player, who could see some playing time in the early half of his career with the Fighting Illini.
