Illinois Football announces sleek jersey combination for homecoming game

Illinois Football has done quite a rebrand over the past few years. Before the 2023 season, the Illini rolled out fresh new jerseys. This past offseason, the Illini announced three new helmets that will be used at different points throughout the season. Additionally, they released the look they will roll out in front of a national audience vs Michigan.

With homecoming coming this weekend, Illinois Football wants to make sure that it looks sharp for all of the alumni coming to campus. In addition, the Illini will have plenty more eyes on them after a Marquee win at home vs the Kansas Jayhawks.

The look above is insanely sleek. First off, the Illini will roll out their alternate blue jerseys. Certainly, these jerseys are more popular than the orange and white options. On top of that, this is the first time that we will see this helmet. Bret Bielema and the Illini have the chance to clinch an undefeated non-conference slate. With the wins slowly starting to build, Bret Bielema has certainly shifted the brand of Illinois Football. After multiple coaching staffs that have lacked the energy and organization, Bielema’s detailed-oriented approach has this program back on the up.
