Illinois Football is preparing for what could be another major upset to add to their resume. After starting 4-0, Bret Bielema and the Fighting Illini should have a “nothing to lose” mentality entering Saturday’s matchup with #9 Penn State.

Of course, that makes them a dangerous opponent for James Franklin, and the college football playoff-hopeful Nittany Lions.

“White Out Energy”

Coach Franklin is calling for Penn State fans to bring as much energy as possible to Saturday’s showdown with the Fighting Illini. The Lions head coach has urged the fans to bring “White Out energy” for this crucial game, emphasizing the need for a prominent home-field advantage. Funny enough, Bret Bielema praised the Nittany Lion fanbase calling them intelligent. However, did say “whatever the hell that means” to the “white out energy”.

The official White Out game is scheduled for November 9th against the Washington Huskies. However, coach Franklin certainly sees this matchup as a pivotal moment for Penn State’s season. Washington has struggled, and so far, Illinois appears to be a bigger threat to the Nittany Lions.

Is there any chance Illinois Football can slip away from a crazy road environment once again with an upset win? Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium certainly was a great warmup for the opportunity. The last time Illinois football came to Happy Valley, it was a 9OT thriller.

All eyes will be on Beaver Stadium at 6:30 PM CT on Saturday night.
