Illinois Football: Injury Report Update Prior to Kansas
Bret Bielema provides an injury report update prior to Kansas

Bielema Updates The Current Health Status of Illinois Football
Before Saturday’s highly anticipated matchup with Kansas, Illini head coach Bret Bielema addressed the current health status of Illinois Football.
According to Bielema, the Fighting Illini stepped away from their blowout of EIU, with a seemingly clean injury report.
Of course, this is great news for the Illini, as the program prepares to take on Lance Leipolds’ 20th-ranked Jayhawks at home. No doubt, a game that will set the tone for the rest of the season for Illinois Football. If Bielema’s program can pull off the upset, they will be making a full house very happy in Champaign, Illinois. In addition, it could possibly set Illinois up for a special season.
However, you have to win first, and staying healthy will play a key role, as it did a season ago in Illinois’ 23-34 loss in Lawrence.
Bielema’s IR Update
“Injury-wise, we came out of it (EIU) pretty clean,” says Bielema. “The only guy, T-Strain (Tyler Strain), did not play in the game. We thought it was smarter to keep him and reserve him. So, he is fully cleared for practice tomorrow. Depending on how the week plays out, should have him involved in the game plan.”
Furthermore, Bielema states, “Other than that, everybody came out of it pretty clean from everybody that played in the game, to play this upcoming Saturday.”
