Illinois Football has picked up thier 4th addition to the 2026 class with Nebraska Offensive Lineman Landen Von Seggern.

Illinois Football Commitment – 2026 OL Commit Landen Seggern
Bart Miller and the Illini offensive line have had an impressive offseason so far. Their efforts just paid off again, as Illinois Football secured its fourth commitment for the class of 2026. On Wednesday evening, Landen Von Seggern, the nation’s 59th-ranked IOL, announced his commitment to the Illini via X.
The Omaha native additionally held offers from Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Kansas State, Memphis, and Miami (OH). However, Von Seggern never received an offer from his home state Huskers.
Will the newest Illini commit make Nebraska’s staff regret letting him leave for a Big Ten rival without an offer?

Thoughts
A deep dive into the Nebraska Native’s film will quickly show you why he is a top-5 player in the Cornhusker State.
Landen is a tenacious blocker. He’s strong at the point of attack and utilizes his size to to his advantage – leveraging defenders and punctuating blocks with a purpose. On film, the Illini commit boasts impressive handwork (for a high school Junior), and utilizes powerful upper body strength, and finish defenders for pancake blocks.
Unfortunately for the defensive lineman and linebackers Landen faced within his highlight reel, a pancake block was the faith of most.
