Armchair Illini to Partner with IlliniCast

Hey Folks! It’s a great time to be an Illini. Whether Illinois Basketball’s season ends tonight or not, Men’s Basketball is back to being a top program in the Big Ten and in the country. Illinois Women’s Basketball has strong leadership again, and Illinois Football has an experienced head coach who is able to sell his vision. Illinois athletics continues its strong presence in Golf, Tennis, and Baseball as well.

SOME NEWS:

Armchair Illini partnered with The Illini Basketball Podcast in late October. Ethan Carter and Tyler Bramley have unparalleled chemistry and they continue to grow as one of the top Illini fan podcasts out there. Their watch parties and live reactions are top notch and they bring a great deal of knowledge and emotion to Illini Basketball fandom.

On top of that, we also have some fresh new faces on the block who are now officially a part of the Armchair Illini team:

Welcome to Sunny Verma and Austin Burklund, the hosts of the IlliniCast to Armchair Illini!

Here’s a short message from Sunny Verma:

“Today’s announcement is one I have been excited about for a long time. When I conjured up the idea for Illinicast a while back, I did not think we would come to the point of being the 2nd biggest Illini-athletics-focused show on all of YouTube and that’s where we are. 
Illinicast has had many opportunities to move on in the past and we never felt the need to. But when the Armchair Illini opportunity came along, we knew this move was best for not only both parties but Illini fans as a whole. Nearing a half million visitors, Armchair Illini will introduce a lot of new Illini fans to the Illinicast community and that’s something we could not say no to.
We will continue to provide the best coverage of all Illinois athletics to the best of our abilities and also now try to take advantage of the talent already at Armchair for their expertise and bring them on our show. Between their fantastic writers and their super popular “Illini Basketball Podcast”, the website truly is becoming a one-stop shop for everything Illinois.
We’re extremely excited about the future and we think Illini fans should be too.”
