Illinois Football is actually ranked higher than the defending national champions. Let that sink in for a moment. The Illini could not have asked for a better start to their season. However, the season is just about to heat up for Illinois Football. The second half of their schedule is rather daunting, and it starts with hosting the defending national champions. Now Michigan does have its warts. Their quarterback situation is a mess and they are relying on former Indiana football QB, Jack Tuttle, to be their savior.

The Illini have a chance to clinch bowl eligibility and make yet another statement with a win. Bret Bielema and his crew are going to have to play a lot better than they did vs Purdue to pull that off

#24 Michigan Wolverines (4-2)

The Wolverine fanbase make it seem like their football program has fallen off of a cliff. However, their only two losses are vs number one ranked Texas, and on the road vs Washington. Otherwise, Sherrone Moore’s squad has found a way to win. They may not have the explosive offense they had with JJ McCarthy, but, their line play is elite on both sides of the ball. The Illini front seven has to be better if they want a shot at stopping Michigan.
