How Former Illini Pat Bryant Measured Up at the NFL Combine
The former Illini put up relatively decent numbers at the 2025 NFL Combine.
Former Illini wide receiver Pat Bryant spent his weekend in Indianapolis, showcasing his talents at the 2025 NFL Combine in front of several scouts and executives from across the league.
As teams begin piecing together their future rosters, Bryant held a prime opportunity to solidify his stock ahead of April’s NFL Draft. Of course, Illinois fans are well aware of what Bryant brings to the table, as one of the Big Ten’s top offensive weapons in 2024-25. However, the Jacksonville, FL native didn’t have a final showcase in the Citrus Bowl, so competing in the Combine provided him with a chance to show out, once again, on a national stage.
Now that the combine is wrapped up, let’s take a look at how Pat measured up.

Pat Bryant: 2025 NFL Combine Stats
Height: 6’2″
Weight: 204 lbs.
40-Yard Dash: 4.61 seconds
Vertical Leap: 37.5 inches (8th All-Time in Illinois Football Combine History)
Broad Jump: 124 inches (3rd All-Time in Illinois Football Combine History)
Saturday’s 40-yard dash may not have been Bryant’s strongest showing, as his 4.61-second time ranked 18th among the wide receivers group. However, his explosiveness was evident in other key categories. His 37.5-inch vertical and 124-inch broad jump placed him among the top-10 all-time for former Illinois draft attendees—showcasing his elite leaping ability and lower-body power, as we have seen Pat utilize to his advantage in 1-on-1, “Go up and get it,” plays.
Thoughts: Will Pat’s 40-Time Be a Major Negative Hit To His Draft Stock?
I wouldn’t bet on it. For those questioning his speed, I’d challenge them to turn on the tape. Bryant’s 6’2”+ frame, combined with his ability to run crisp routes and high-point the football against top-tier defensive backs, makes him an intriguing, and highly valuable prospect. He has all the tools to be a valuable second to early fourth-round pick—but ultimately, it will come down to how much weight NFL executives place on Combine numbers versus proven production. Regardless, Pat Bryant is well on his way to fulfilling his dream—getting the call and competing on football’s biggest stage.
